Why Freetown?

On 30th March 2020, Sierra Leone recorded its first COVID19 case.

80% of confirmed Corona cases are based in the capital city, Freetown & the Western Area.

Freetown is the most densely populated & congested city in the country.

Community based transmission is increasing rapidly on a daily basis.

The W.H.O. strongly recommends the use of cloth masks to reduce transmission.

Cloth masks can be up to 70% effective in reducing transmission.
The Mask Up Freetown campaign provided masks to 60,000 traders at 42 municipal markets.
UK Premier League Footballers Antonio Rudiger, Mesut Özil, N'Golo Kante, Olivier Giroud and Callum Hudson-Odoi generously kick-started the campaign with a joint donation of $10,000.
